Big Buddha – Sea Gypsies Village – Promthep Cape

Price: 3,900 THB per person

Discover the places we love best in Phuket from which you will be able to bring back outstanding pictures of an example of Thai Buddhist faith in its largest dimension – the Big Buddha of Phuket, meet the Sea Gypsies who are the most authentic inhabitants of the island and enjoy and photograph the incredible Phuket’s sunset at Promthep Cape, also known as the God’s Cape.

You will start the tour at the Big Buddha one of the most popular places of Phuket, but luckily after most of the crowds have gone.

Let the huge size of this Buddha image – Thailand's largest – stun you, catch the monks going on about their daily routines and enjoy the views of both the west and east sides of the island.

After witnessing the Thai faith in its grandeur, you will head towards our all time favorite place, the Sea Gypsies Village on the eastern tip of the island.

There you will be able to meet the last truly authentic Phuket’s inhabitants. Don’t be camera shy, these kids just love having their picture taken as long as you show them their portrait! Keep your eyes open for their fathers that you might catch building or repairing their fish traps or their mothers busily chatting together.

Your next step is the Promthep Cape, also called the “god’s cape”; a rocky promontory with tall cliffs shaping the farthest south end of the island and regarded as the best spot on the island to enjoy spectacular sunsets.

The cape also features a lighthouse that used to guide the mariners sailing to Phuket from Malay; nowadays you can climb up the lighthouse to a viewing balcony that will give you an even more elevated view of the waves crashing on the cliff below or when the sky is clear you might even catch a sighting of the Phi Phi Islands.

With your mind and/or the memory card of your camera full of images reflecting the true beauty of Phuket, you will make your way back to our shop for some finger food and a debriefing and review of your pictures by the photographer before being dropped off at your hotel.
